Hey! Look who finished a thing!
I'm in college full-time now, so I'm not going to declare myself "returned," but I do hope to be making things when I have the time and energy. As it is, this one's not very long and fairly simple--but I consider it a minor miracle that it exists at all, so I'll take what I can get. I think it took me about three weeks in total, cause I started storyboarding right after the prison break stream. Actually, what happened is I was watching the stream and doing my homework, just chilling. And then some of the frame compositions flashed into vision and became seared in my mind. And I sat there like, "Shoot. I'm gonna have to make this now, aren't I?"
Also: This project might not stack up so well with the others, but I made it for the pure joy of bringing it to completion. If at least one other person is also excited about it, then I guess I did what I came here to do.

Oh my gosh. I love this song so much. Second to Innocence, it's probably my favorite that I've ever used. I probably listened to this song daily while working on Innocence, actually, so it's a nice little tribute for me. And WOW I love Vancouver Sleep Clinic. I've had a passing interest since I heard "Closure" in like 2018, but man I have been loving their stuff lately. "The Wire"??? Wow. Now that's a song.
Anyways, I could clearly rant about this all day. Let's move on.

Okay. Time for a keyword salad. I don't think this actually matters (and my analytics are already gonna be destroyed by how long I've been gone), but it's funny!
In this funny little Dream SMP Animatic, there is Lore and Drama. The Drama is entirely limited to Minecraft Game Mechanics, so a lot of things are completely left to artistic licensing. For example, the Character Designs are based on Minecraft Skins that cant have more than 500 Pixels. Speaking of Characters, there are so many of your favorite Dream SMP characters, like Technoblade. Why is he wearing a blindfold? We may never know. There is also a Dream. There are a few Dreams actually, he's on more than one panel. Imagine that. There's also Quackity, just one though. Dream and Technoblade are in Prison, and then later they are not. The Prison is called Pandora's Vault, in case you're wondering. TommyInnit is also in this Animatic. But only about half of it. There is also a lot of Running. So much Running. But I bet you could tell that from the title. Lastly, your other favorite characters make an appearance as well, including Ranboo, Philza (Ph1lza) Minecraft, and "Sam" Awesamdude. Wow. What a great cast.
One more thing: I want to say thanks to E & A for keeping me grounded these past few months. I doubt they'll read this, but it's the thought that counts. I owe them a lot.

It's not meant to be as good or as polished as the other animatics, I just wanted to get in a bit more animation practice in the meantime. Hi. I recommend watching "Desolate" again before you see this one so you have an idea of where I left off. I wanted someone to be able to watch all three in a row and have them link up timeline-wise. Song this time around is "Line of Sight" by ODESZA. I had a few others I was tossing around but this is the one that stuck. I really hope you enjoy this one, these big projects are very draining.

I definitely do not own these characters or this song, but you already know that. But heyo, look who finished a project. This started in March of 2019, concluded July 2020 (that's like... a year or something). It's kind of convenient, actually - I finished all of the drawings a year to the day of when I first started the project.
This is absolutely beautiful, every frame is smoothly animated with transitions that effectively show the story of the show 🩷 I love the small, subtle movements of the main drawings. They really bring the characters to life!! Like when Wirt's cape flutters in the wind when he's momentarily portrayed as The Beast, or the sun rays shifting as Wirt and Greg step off the ferry. I found this animatic while working on work last night, and I took a break to watch it. All the nostalgia came flooding back. I couldn't stop thinking of it in school today, and I came back to watch it again. Thank you for keeping the spirit of the OTGW fandom alive 🩷

ok, I know this is kinda old bUT OH. MY. GOD. THIS IS SO GOOD. The song fits perfectly with the show, it's an amazing choice. The transitions are awesome and how you managed to someway cover everything that happened on the series in this, is just great. AND THE ART, the art is STUNNING. This whole video is just beautiful, I love it.

it’s honestly so bittersweet. i have clear memories of enjoying the streams, the feuds between the characters, and watching the events on the edge of my seat. but knowing what we know now, the memories (bar a few with certain people) are stained.
I know im a little late *cough cough* two years *cough cough*.... BUT i still think that this is actually really good art/ animation, and rlly like the song that u choose btw, anyways hope to see more things from you! but if not then i will keep re-watching the videos that you got :)

Theories that the unknown is a post death land , and everyone wirt meet is longer dead , this kinda make sense since there's a gravestone show with the name of one the characters that they meet in the unknown.
This is genuinely SO FUCKING GOOD!! Hits just like SAD-ist's animations do, genuinely so good, its incredible honestly!
Revisiting this animatic made me really, really appreciate how good the storytelling in this arc was, even though I wasn't a huge fan of it at the time. I wish they could get the key cast together (substitute Philza for Techno) and re-do this whole arc without the family-friendly restrictions the DSMP had. Some things deserve to be mature, and this is one of them. Quackity giving out coins to the people he can manipulate, assigning cards to those he can't. The manipulators get manipulated, and Tommy and Wilbur, the reunited crazy brothers, are wild cards. Loyalty, brutality, friendship, rivalry, the cold law of the desert campaigning against the warmth of community. The gambling, the drinking, the fighting, the sheer insanity that holds up Las Nevadas. The politics, the careful manipulation, the pushing of buttons and pulling of strings in all directions. The things never caught on camera. The jokes, Sam in Quackity's bar far away from his home, the back-alley deals and brawls, the bruises and cuts, the coins smeared with dirt and in some cases blood until the gold is no longer visible. The strain of a couple individuals attempting to hold an empire on their shoulders, only to begin to collapse under its weight. The final terror of everyone realizing just how far Quackity's arm reaches, how many favors he can pull in, how much chaos he can wreak or control on his whims, how much his employees and friends can no longer trust one another with their safety or secrets. The ending, of Slime taking Quackity's life, the reign of the scarred man who survived so much warfare ended by the only spectator able to retain his innocence. It would be incredible to witness, in a place where they don't have to sugarcoat or hold back, where they can fully showcase this epic tale of greed, loyalty, and the sheer power of trust, and what happens when all of those things are offered to someone and then snatched away.
